Vishwa Hindu Parishad is an organization inspired by Hindutva ideology. It is a subsidiary organization of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Vishwa Hindu Parishad is also known as VHP and VHP. The symbol of the VHP is the banyan tree and its motto is, "Dharmo Rakshati Rakshit" i.e. whoever protects religion, religion protects him. Here the basic meaning of religion is the basic duty of a person's soul and not any particular religion.
